Mountford Mansions - London
The property is located in Mountford Mansions which is a conversion of a Grade II Listed Victorian school, the former Battersea Polytechnic. The design concept behind this project begins with the owner’s personal art which unique style made it challenging to coordinate with the existing industrial feel of the space. We also wanted the interior to reflect the character of the owner and accommodate the family lifestyle. With this in mind, the aim was to create a balanced environment where an airy feel will be combined with softness and yet emphasized with strong and distinctive traits. Warm neutrals were chosen to ensure the flow throughout the floors and bring coziness, while some architectural features were highlighted in black to create strong accents and provide a consistent look. The project's full refurbishment included internal alterations, as well as the introduction of new finishes, underfloor heating, lighting design, and new fitted joinery throughout the space.
